power politics - the stranglehold on freedom is becoming tighter

in the last 50 years, government has grown to mettle in the affairs of men, to crush their will, and make their belly become their god and the controlling factor of their vote. the power players have taken over the morality of a nation and influenced a generation that moral issues are political issues and should not be spoken about from the church pulpit using the biblical worldview as the point of disagreement.

yet, common sense and a short view of history reminds us of the fact that our moral standards of which guides our conscience is rooted in Judeo-Christian ethics. need we remind the politicians and the media that such beliefs have existed for over four thousand years and our democracy for only 230 years. issues as abortion, gay marriage, freedom of speech, alms for poor and other policies are not new and are not political. for such standards and precepts pre-existed our nation and our government. the church ought not to remove itself from the political process but take back these issues from the politicians who have not been given the right from God to reinvent His standards.
