voice to the government
God has an original intention for government
He raises up kings and puts down others. He choose David over Saul. He prefers one leader over another leader.

Throughout history, He has used nations and governments to accomplish His will and plans as His Providence lead and continues to lead the world.
Jesus is the King of Kings and he spoke many parables about "the kingdom". He has a godly administration and has principles that guide and control his Kingdom. There is no nation on earth that is like his Kingdom or can be his Kingdom - we can not turn America or any other nation into his Kingdom. However, we through his teachings, can understand what a godly kingdom and government is.
With this knowledge, we remind our elected officials who are in office representing "us" what "we" believe and what "we" desire to see in our nation. Many well-intentioned leaders might be ignorant of the word of God and the teachings of Jesus but when they here it and understand its truth and wisdom, they can turn a nation around. (2 Kings 22 and 23 - reign of Josiah).
